Diamond Dolls (1-3rd grade) 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Glamour Girls (4-6th grade) 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Royal Rubies (7th - 9th grade) 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Divine Divas (10th - 12th grade) 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.


Royalty Dance Academy Competition Audition Requirements and Accceptance Form


What to wear: (Dancers will be penalized in their score for not following directions on what to wear!)


Audition Rules:


Audition fee is $20.00/ dancer and is non-refundable.

Must arrive 15 minutes early! Auditions will begin promptly at the scheduled time and doors will be closed at this time. No one will be allowed to enter once the doors are closed.

Auditions will be closed and no viewing will be allowed.

The judges will be observing and scoring the girls during all 3 hours of the tryouts.

Each dancer will need to bring water and a snack.

Dancers are not allowed to leave early from tryouts or they will be penalized in their score.

No dancers or parents are allowed to speak to the judges before, during, or after the auditions for any reason.

There will be no call backs. All judging will be done within the 3 hour period.

There will be no alternates selected.

If a dancer is injured for whatever reason during tryouts and is unable to finish the tryout process it will then be up to the judges to make the decision of whether or not the dancer will make the team based on what they had seen prior to the injury.

Audition results will be mailed to each individual. The results will invite you to be on either the elite team or the sign-up only team. If you score high enough in auditions then you will be invited to be on the elite team.

No scores will be given out. You may request a judge’s comment sheet after the audition results have been mailed by filling out a request form in the office. Comment sheets will be available beginning May 23rd.

If you make the elite team you are required to attend one jazz technique camp and one ballet camp over the summer. The choreography camp is set for August 5-7th and is mandatory. Please be flexible the Thursday and Monday before and after the choreography weekend in case we have to work around the choreographers schedule. If you are unable to attend choreography camp then you are not allowed to be on the Elite team, no exceptions will be made.

To be a part of the elite team, you must audition and receive a certain number of points from the judges. No exceptions will be made for those who are unable to attend the auditions due to other conflicts. Auditions are mandatory to be on the elite team and all decisions by the judges are final.

Please prepare your daughter to make it and not to make it at auditions. Everyone is on an equal playing field when they walk into the audition room. Whether you have had danced for 5 years or 1 year, on an elite team at Royalty or another studio, or done a solo before, it does not matter. The judges do not know that and therefore everyone auditioning stands a chance of not making it! Each dancer needs to be mentally prepared for the worst outcome and for the best outcome! Good Luck!
